KDE developers have just announced the first release of Plasma Media Center, as its name implies, a media center designed to provide a rich experience multidevice , both PC as tablets , phones and televisions smart.

    • Navigating the file system

      • Support for custom plugins

    Do not expect a finished product . The important thing is that we are here and can be tested …. more or less.

    Facebook launched its Applications Center

    The Facebook Applications Centre was submitted in early May and WIN is now available worldwide . The new social network section provides access to a rich catalog of apps for both mobile devices and for use within the popular site.

    The Facebook App Center was activated with only 600 applications But as the weeks go by the number of titles available will increase dramatically. As I commented at the time, the store shows only outstanding apps or using our friends.

    The intention of the Application Center is not to compete directly with Apple’s App Store and Play Store Google, on the contrary. Many of the apps offered in the new section of Facebook are HTML5 , which means it does not require installation on our devices.

    In the case that wish to use any other application that needs to be installed, the site we automatically redirected to the shops of IOS or Android. The App Center will also be available Facebook applications for operating systems from Apple and Google, and will be added through an update.

    More and more applications that can be found on Facebook. Some are good, others less so and many of dubious origin. Luckily those responsible for social network decided to improve the user experience announcing App Center, the app store .

    Through this section you can access the best applications available in Facebook, which will be filtered depending on the activity of each user. App Center will be available both via Web applications like Facebook for iPhone OS and Android.

    The new platform will not only include applications that run on Facebook, but also those aimed at systems Google mobile operating and Apple who use or have a strong social network integration. To install the latest users will be automatically redirected to the App Store or Play Store .

    Facebook will also allow developers to charge for their apps, using a independent system that currently allows payments across them. The interested developers can start building the details pages for your applications, so they are ready when App Center is available globally.
