major enterprise Linux distribution around the world yesterday celebrated its tenth anniversary, and for the celebration Red Hat released a timeline that records development milestones of their own Red Hat and RHEL .

As noted in The H Open, Red Hat Linux Advanced Server 2.1 was the first product in the range RHEL, and was launched on May 15, 2002, just after the launch of Red Hat Linux 7.3.
