Days ago Nokia announced the expansion of its mapping service beyond Windows Phone and Symbian, making it available on iOS and Android under the name HERE Maps . The Finnish firm did not make us wait too long, because the version for iPhone / iPad App Store officially debuted.

Europeans intention is to use the Apple fiasco Maps to gain traction among the public of the apple. HERE Maps includes several features to note, though many of them are limited to some of the world’s major cities. Anyway, it is an alternative to consider.

The application offers several layers of display: standard map, live traffic, public transport and satellite view.
