Many expected the keynote to open the door to the Worldwide Developers Conference 2012 and Apple has not disappointed . The signing of the block used the occasion to present some products that had generated much speculation in recent months.

MacBook Air

Ultrathin Apple Computers received hardware upgrades to improve performance . The new line includes Air Intel Ivy Bridge and Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics. The 11-inch model includes two versions: the most basic comes with dual-core processor Intel Core i5 at 1.7 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB flash storage, USB 3.0 and 5 hours of battery life. This version costs $ 999.

Also available is a 11-inch model with 128 GB of storage in exchange for U.S. $ 1099. 13-inch models include dual core processor Intel Core i5 at 1.8 GHz with the same RAM, USB ports and integrated graphics mentioned in the previous paragraph. iOS 6

The long awaited new version of Apple’s mobile operating system also appeared on WWDC 2012 . Improvements compared to iOS 5 are several, including integration with Facebook, Siri improvements, new applications and mapping service that replaces Google Maps.

Finally Apple unveiled its own service maps, with 3D support and information on over 100 million companies. The platform also includes a navigation system that, according to executives at Cupertino, promises to outperform the competition.

iOS 6 places special emphasis on Siri. The wizard will provide sports statistics and information about restaurants and movies thanks to Yelp! and Rotten Tomatoes. But that’s not all as it also allows execution of apps with voice and reach the third generation iPhone.

Apple also partnered with several automakers to include a toggle button Siri on the wheel of future cars. This will connect devices to the car and use the virtual assistant without major distractions. The system was presented with the name “Eyes Free” and has the backing of Mercedes Benz, BMW and Toyota, among others.

OS X

Apple took the opportunity to discuss Mountain Lion , the new version of its PC operating system which goes on sale next month. The software version 10.8 incorporate several improvements over Lion, including more support for social networks and better integration with the cloud.
