Linux is getting Steam site . This is confirmed by the monthly report published by Valve with different statistics, among which share the use of the operating system platform, where Linux in general has nearly doubled its presence in a month.
Valve presents new data are interesting for several reasons, the first being the increase in the share of Linux on Steam, which last month was 1.12% and was to stop everything to Ubuntu, while this February has reached 2.02% … but dealt.
Following this, another highlight is that while the different versions of Ubuntu are kept at the head of the “Linux group” with 1.71% , another name comes into play own, Linux Mint 14 64-bit Nadia with 0.17% , and a generic Linux 64 bit with 14% , where we assume that end the rest distributions.

Not so and just make compared to Mac OS X, the system has available Steam store for almost three years . In fact, except for Windows 8 64 and 32 bit and Windows Vista 64-bit (!), Linux is the only winning users . What you can see in the chart below:
certainly figures are optimistic Linux on Steam. Now we just need to see the progression, if yet capped or there is still more room for Penguin . And especially if other developers are discouraged and decide to go for our system, at least for the short term equate with Mac OS X. For now Linux users are responding and are more than was first thought.
recap, Steam beta came to Linux as closed on 7 November. On December 20, the beta is open to everyone and only a day after it was learned that Steam had about 50 million users worldwide. Making a simple operation and not too reliable, the current share of Linux on Steam would around one million users . Most likely the account is out of date, of course, because since then it’s been more than two months, and was on February 14 you just left behind the day of release of the final version of Steam for Linux.
