class=”article first_main_article” readability=”49″>Would you like to make

theme that looks the openSUSE 12.3 KDE ? We talked Plasma theme and color schemes; small, but very well done. Read on and find the download and instructions.

KDE Dolphin Services visual theme 500x281 Download openSUSE 12.3 KDE

confess that I do not like too dark themes, or Plasma or applications, but filed for openSUSE 12.3 … I do not know. I liked. Maybe because being black is not as dark as usual, is “softer” , put it in some form. Total I’ve also put it packaged for Kubuntu and take this opportunity to share it here with you.

The “problem” is the theme of yore is that is based on greens in line with openSUSE, and without color schemes is rare, so also are included in the package that you can download from the following link:

    • openSUSE 12.3 KDE Theme

    Once downloaded

have to unzip it and move the folder “openSUSE” to:

    • ~ .kde / share / apps / desktoptheme /

    • ~ .kde / share / apps / color-Schemes /

folder “color-schemes” does not exist, it is created, and remember that according to the distribution may change the route. “Kde” with “. Kde4.”

Finally, enter System Preferences > Application Appearance> Colors (from there can also be imported color schemes one by one, if you prefer) and pick the one you like (I’m staying with openSUSElight). Plasma for the same topic: System Preferences> Workspace Appearance> Desktop Theme .

If you want to give the final touch, go to System Preferences > Workspace Appearance> Window Decorations> Set Decoration> Shadow and change both interior color options # BEEFAF and the exterior color brightness of the active window by # 72937D .

Now, you will look like KDE openSUSE 12.3 distribution regardless of where you are :)

Once the system is-whatever-installed, you have to give a personal touch the desktop to make it as we like , and unfortunately most distributions presents a LXDE bit spartan. Not that the combination GTK + Openbox can take over much, but enough to be comfortable.

logo2 lxde visual themes and icons for LXDE

This is possibly the most personal point all I’m going to write about LXDE , so it may have “disagreements style.” Anyway, all the distributions I’ve tried LXDE and have been many, just a delight to me at first glance: Lubuntu 11.04.

500x375 11.04 Lubuntu visual themes and icons for LXDE

Maybe to many outdated or too see something blue, but has a nice style to be a working environment. As a visual theme and windows Lubuntu uses his own, based on Zuki Blues but with the polished details.

He “rescued” the issue of Lubuntu and I uploaded at this link. You have to download and unzip it into “~ /. Themes” (if there is created). Now is activated from the Openbox configuration tools and desktop appearance. To succeed it is essential to have installed GTK 2.x theme “murrine” , you will find in the package manager.

icon theme is Elementary , so you just have to download and decompress the file “~ /. icons” (if there is created). As they say, the same goes for an Elementary broken that for a disjointed …

just did not finish the blue panel, which also is one that can not be resized because the graph does not support it without breaking the image, so I left the panel in black. It might have purposely created a chart for the panel, but it is easier to access its configuration and use a color .

LXDE 2 500x375 icons and visual themes for LXDE

I’ve left a hundred percent opaque black, but not one hundred percent black. It can be configured easily using the color scale HTML and leaving it as we like:

  • # 000000 (completely black)
  • # 101 010 (less black)
  • # 202 020 (less black)
  • # 303 030 (and less black …)
  • Voila

    With these small touches

LXDE stays nice , at least for my taste. If you want more beer you can install Compiz and a thousand other things, but you lose the charm of minimalism and lightness of memory that characterize it. Still, if you do not like my proposal, you have to choose from.
