development of the new version of the Media Center application is ongoing (and I talked about the Beta 1 and Beta 2), and a few days ago we warned those responsible for the availability of XBMC 11.0 Beta 3 .
The new edition is devoted primarily to correct errors affecting areas such as managing playlists or how information is obtained from the films and series we have the hard drive of our media centers.
Another important change is the inclusion of the first beta XBMCbuntu , which shifts the focus of previous intalaciones XBMC Live. As explained in the official announcement, XBMC Live was optimized for a pure experience of set-top-box, and now the idea is to first test the distribution format and then install XBMC Live on the target machine if it convinces us.
The advantages of this new approach are numerous. Among other things, XBMC is based on the LXDE desktop environment , which makes use of Chromium as a web browser and an integrated version of Flash and a package manager with a corresponding interface. That coupled with the power of the terminal, which does not disappear-XBMC will be updatable quickly and easily “without fear of spoilage XBMC experience.”You can earn

Updated : I’ve just tested a few minutes XBMCbuntu under VirtualBox to see their appearance and the truth is that the interface is fantastic. Meanwhile, I leave you with some screenshots of the interface.
